There continues to be a shortage of workers for simple assembly line jobs in home appliance production, and recently, most of the workers have been accepted from countries around the world. To work in the factory, it is necessary to create an ID card, and the process of entering personal data was quite cumbersome. There are specialized companies that bring talent from around the world to Japan, and these companies create a photo template for workers by entering necessary information such as name and address in Word. This photo template is sent to the factory in advance, and using an ADF scanner, not only the photo but also the necessary information is read and converted to OCR, allowing it to be exported as CSV data. This enables the entire process from data entry to ID card issuance to be handled without keyboard input.
